Santa Fe County Utilities billing system offline Sept. 17 for updates
SANTA FE, N.M., Sept. 14, 2026—Santa Fe County Utilities is updating its billing software to better serve customers, and access to customer accounts will be offline on Sept. 17.
Customer accounts, billing preferences, and contact information will not be affected by this process; however, access to these accounts will be unavailable until the maintenance is complete. Utilities payments are normally due on the 5th of each month, and County staff verified there are no off-cycle bills due during the temporary pause on account access.
Customers will continue to have access to the online portal to make payments through credit card, debit card, and e-check, if needed, and customers may still provide payments in person by check or money order with the understanding that the payment will not be processed until maintenance is complete.
Please note that County staff will be unable to process card payments in the Public Works office and will not be able to view or verify account information—including account balances, bill and payment history, and other account details—until the updates are complete.
Work orders for customer-reported service issues will continue to be issued and completed as staff work to ensure there is no loss of services for customers during the software maintenance.
For questions, contact Santa Fe County Utilities at 505-992-9870 or SFCUtil@SantaFeCountyNM.gov.
