October 2026: Open Enrollment Starts Today
The 2027 insurance open enrollment is October 5-30, 2026. Changes made during this period will take effect January 1, 2027.
This is your chance to enroll or make changes to your:
- Health insurance
- Uniform Dental coverage
- Supplemental coverage, including dental, vision, and Accident Plan
- Pre-tax savings accounts for state employees, to save money on eligible healthcare, dependent daycare, parking and transit expenses
Learn the important changes and steps you need to take.
Alert: New Process to Enroll or Change Benefits
- Employees: Log in to the secure My Benefits portal to access My Insurance Benefits.
- Retirees: Submit form ET-2331 (and/or ET-2339 for supplemental insurance) to ETF. You can also use My Benefits to view insurance information, update contact information, cancel or reduce coverage.
Action Required: Accident Plan Enrollment
For non-Universities of Wisconsin employees: If you currently have a Securian Accident Plan that covers any dependents (spouse and/or dependents), you must reenroll the dependents in the Accident Plan during open enrollment to have coverage that continues past January 1, 2027.
If you do not, your dependents will no longer have Accident Plan coverage, and your plan will change to individual coverage for only you as the subscriber.
When reenrolling dependents, you will need to gather, scan, and upload documents to verify your dependents. For more information, see the member job aid.
2027 Health Plan Name Changes
- IYC Medicare Advantage is now Medicare Advantage by UnitedHealthcare (UHC).
- IYC Health Plan is now Choice Health Plan.
- Robin with HealthPartners is now HealthPartners Northeast.
